POS system price in the UAE (2026): what restaurants actually pay

Most POS vendors in the UAE do not publish a price — you get a quote after a demo. Here is what the ones that do publish say, and the costs that sit outside the licence.

Costs outside the licence
- Hardware — a till (Windows PC or Android tablet), a thermal receipt printer, a cash drawer, and tablets or phones for waiters and the kitchen if you use them.
- Card machine — from your bank or a payment provider, with its own fees per transaction.
- Per-outlet or per-terminal pricing — a second counter or branch can double the bill.
- Add-ons — kitchen display, waiter app, delivery, loyalty or inventory are extras with some vendors.
- Setup and training — sometimes a one-time fee.
- Delivery-app commission — not a POS cost, but your POS should help you check it (how).
Questions to ask before you sign
- Is the price per outlet, per terminal or per user?
- Which features are extra: kitchen display, waiter app, QR ordering, delivery?
- Does it print a UAE tax invoice with your TRN, in Arabic and English?
- Does it keep billing when the internet drops?
- Is there a charge per bill or a share of your sales?
- Can you try it free on your own menu first?
What is in Dinelax's price
Basic, AED 1,199 a year: unlimited bills, TAX INVOICE with your TRN, Arabic and English receipts, kitchen tickets, shift and day close, reports, delivery-partner orders, loyalty and expenses. Pro, AED 2,499 a year, adds the waiter app, kitchen display, QR ordering for tables, takeaway and delivery, your own delivery with a rider app, staff roles and attendance, and stock and purchases. Paid once a year by card inside the app; no commission and no charge per bill.
