UAE VAT
TAX INVOICE with your TRN, in English and Arabic
Bills are in AED with 5% VAT worked out on every line, in fils. Once your TRN is saved, receipts print as a TAX INVOICE and فاتورة ضريبية with your TRN; a shop with no TRN gets a plain receipt, and a pre-bill says it is not a tax invoice.
- Full tax invoices for companies: their name, TRN and address on the bill
- Choose whether menu prices include VAT or have it added on top, separately for each delivery partner
- VAT summary for the period: output VAT on sales, input VAT from purchases, net payable
- What a UAE tax invoice must show

Delivery partners
Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem and Noon orders, counted right
Ring a partner order in at the counter with the partner's own order number. It counts in your sales but never in the cash drawer, so the shift still balances.
- Talabat, Deliveroo, Careem, Noon and more partners
- A separate menu price for each partner
- Partner commission and fees, matched against weekly payouts

Arabic
Your guests read the menu in Arabic or English
Every table gets a QR code. Guests open the menu in their phone's browser — no app to install — switch to Arabic (right-to-left) and order. Takeaway and delivery QRs work the same way, and delivery orders come with the guest's location.
- Arabic item names on the menu and on printed receipts
- Guests can call a waiter or ask for the bill from the table
- Combos show what comes in them; dishes can list allergens

Kitchen & floor
From the waiter's phone to the kitchen screen
Orders from the counter, a waiter's phone or a guest's QR land on the kitchen display and the kitchen printer together.
- Kitchen display with New, Cooking and Ready lanes
- Kitchen tickets (KOT) per counter — grill, juice bar, tea counter
- Waiter app for table orders
- Windows till with USB thermal printers, or Android tablets

Cash control
Shift close that keeps the drawer honest
The cashier counts the drawer first; only then does the till show what should be there, and the difference. The close report can go to the owner on WhatsApp.
- Split one bill between cash and card, and record the card brand (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, UnionPay)
- Pay-later bills kept in a Credit Book
- Mid-shift X-report and an end-of-shift report
- Keep billing when the internet drops — bills are saved on the device first and uploaded in the background

Guides for UAE restaurants
Questions UAE owners ask
Is Dinelax "FTA approved"?
The FTA does not approve restaurant POS systems, and Dinelax is not on the FTA's Tax Accounting Software Register. What matters for VAT is what the invoice shows: Dinelax prints TAX INVOICE with your TRN, the date, a sequential bill number, each item, the VAT in AED and the total, and full invoices with the customer's TRN for companies.
Do Talabat or Deliveroo orders come in automatically?
Not yet. Today you enter the partner order at the counter with the partner's order number; it is then counted in sales, priced at that partner's price and kept out of the cash drawer.
Does Dinelax do UAE e-invoicing (Peppol)?
No. Under the Ministry of Finance decision, sales only to consumers are outside e-invoicing until the Minister decides otherwise, and businesses below AED 50 million go live on 1 July 2027 for their business-to-business invoices. Read the timeline.
How do I pay, and how much?
Basic is AED 1,199 a year and Pro is AED 2,499 a year, paid once a year by card inside the app. The plan switches on as soon as the payment goes through, and a WhatsApp receipt follows.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days with every Pro feature. No card is needed to start.
What hardware do I need?
A Windows PC with a USB thermal receipt printer, or an Android tablet or phone with a Bluetooth printer. Waiters and the kitchen use Android phones or tablets.
Can the menu and receipts be in Arabic?
Yes. Items can carry an Arabic name, receipts print it, and the guest QR menu switches to Arabic right-to-left.
Does it work without internet?
You can keep billing when the internet drops. Bills are saved on the device first and uploaded to the cloud in the background when the connection returns.
